Collection: BMW

Browse our inventory of used OEM BMW parts sourced from US-based salvage facilities. Every component is a genuine factory-original part inspected for condition and listed with full chassis code and vehicle compatibility details. New OEM BMW parts carry some of the highest dealer pricing in the industry — used OEM from low-mileage accident-damaged donors delivers the same factory engineering at 50–65% less. Free shipping on all US orders. Chassis code and VIN fitment confirmed before dispatch.

BMW owners search by chassis code — E90, F30, E70, F15 — more than almost any other brand, because BMW reuses model names across generations that share nothing mechanically. The 3 Series E90 and F30 are completely different platforms with no structural or drivetrain interchangeability, despite carrying the same nameplate. Always identify your chassis code before ordering any BMW component, and provide it alongside your VIN for the most precise fitment confirmation.

BMW Chassis Codes — Key Platforms

BMW Model Chassis Codes Years Key Notes
3 Series E46, E90/E91/E92/E93, F30/F31/F34 1998–2018 Three distinct platforms — no parts interchangeability between generations on structural or drivetrain components. Always confirm chassis code first.
5 Series E39, E60/E61, F10/F11 1996–2016 E60 is the most common US donor platform. xDrive AWD variant uses different rear subframe and transfer case from RWD. Confirm drivetrain.
X3 E83, F25 2003–2017 E83 and F25 are completely different platforms. F25 uses BMW's modular xDrive system — transfer case requires ISTA coding after replacement.
X5 E53, E70, F15 1999–2018 E70 is the most represented in US salvage market. xDrive transfer case (ATC 700) is a known service item — used OEM saves significantly over new dealer pricing.
M3 E46 M3, E90/E92 M3, F80 M3 2000–2018 M3 uses M-specific subframes, differentials, and suspension geometry — not interchangeable with standard 3 Series equivalents even on the same chassis generation.

ZF 8HP Transmission — BMW's Best-Value Used Drivetrain Component

The ZF 8-speed automatic (8HP) fitted to BMW 3 Series, 5 Series, X3, and X5 from approximately 2012 onwards is widely regarded as one of the finest automatic transmissions ever produced. New OEM pricing exceeds $3,000–$5,500 at the dealer. Used OEM units from documented low-mileage donors are one of the best-value drivetrain purchases available in the used market — factory-calibrated, proven in service, and available at a fraction of new cost. The ZF 8HP is also shared with Rolls-Royce, Land Rover, Jaguar, and Maserati applications, expanding the donor pool beyond BMW alone.

BMW xDrive Transfer Case

BMW's xDrive AWD system uses a transfer case (typically the ATC 35L or ATC 700 unit) to distribute torque between front and rear axles. This is a known service item on E70 X5 and F25 X3 applications — failure typically presents as AWD malfunction warnings, binding at low speed, or unusual drivetrain noise during turns. Used OEM transfer cases from matched donors save $800–$1,500 over new dealer pricing and carry our 90-day warranty. The transfer case requires coding using BMW ISTA diagnostic software after installation.

⚠️ ISTA Coding Required on Most BMW Electronic & Drivetrain Components BMW's ABS modules, transfer cases, steering racks with active steering, and many electronic control modules require coding using BMW ISTA (Integrated Service Technical Application) software after installation. This is not a simple OBD-II reset — it requires dealer-level or independent shop access to BMW diagnostic equipment. Factor this into your total repair cost and ensure your installer has BMW ISTA capability before ordering electronic or drivetrain components.
🔧 Always Identify Your Chassis Code First Your BMW chassis code is in the VIN — position 7 identifies the body series, and the full chassis designation is on the certification label inside the driver's door jamb. Provide both your chassis code and full VIN when ordering any structural, suspension, or drivetrain component. Model year alone is insufficient for BMW fitment — the E90 and F30 3 Series are sold in overlapping years and share nothing mechanically.
