Isuzu's US lineup shared platforms extensively with both GM and Honda throughout its history. The Rodeo and Amigo were rebadged as the Honda Passport. The Ascender was Isuzu's version of the GM GMT360 platform shared with the Chevrolet TrailBlazer, GMC Envoy, Buick Rainier, Oldsmobile Bravada, and Saab 9-7X. Isuzu Rodeo / Honda Passport

The Honda Passport sold from 1994 to 2002 was a rebadged Isuzu Rodeo — mechanically identical in every respect. This means transfer cases, subframes, drivetrain components, and engine parts for the Isuzu Rodeo cross-reference directly with the Honda Passport. The combined donor pool of both nameplates provides significantly better availability than either alone.

Isuzu Ascender / GM GMT360 Family

The Isuzu Ascender (2003–2008) was built on GM's GMT360 platform alongside the Chevrolet TrailBlazer, GMC Envoy, GMC Envoy XUV, Buick Rainier, Oldsmobile Bravada, and Saab 9-7X. Transfer cases, differentials, and structural components for the Ascender cross-reference with this entire GMT360 family — and given the much larger combined sales volume of the GM siblings, availability and pricing are far better than sourcing under "Isuzu Ascender" alone.
