Browse our inventory of used OEM Ford parts — one of the largest Ford used OEM collections available, covering F-150, F-250, F-350, Explorer, Expedition, Mustang, Fusion, Escape, Edge, Ranger, Taurus, Focus, Transit, and more. Every component is sourced from US-based salvage facilities, mileage-verified, and inspected before listing. Ford's platform sharing with Lincoln and Mercury, combined with the F-150's status as America's best-selling vehicle for over 40 years, creates one of the deepest used parts pools in the industry. Free shipping on all US orders.
The Ford F-150 has been the best-selling vehicle in the United States for over four decades — which means more accident-damaged low-mileage F-150 donors enter the salvage market every year than any other single vehicle. This translates directly to outstanding availability and competitive pricing on F-150 drivetrain, structural, and engine components. Combined with Ford's platform sharing across the Explorer, Expedition, Ranger, Fusion, Escape, and Edge, the combined Ford donor pool is among the most accessible in the used OEM market.
Ford Models & Platform Cross-References
| Ford Model |
Platform / Lincoln / Mercury Cross-Reference |
Key Notes |
| Ford F-150 |
P2/P3 platform — Lincoln Navigator (body-on-frame family) |
America's best-selling vehicle — deepest used OEM donor pool of any nameplate. 6R80 transmission, BorgWarner transfer cases, and 8.8-inch rear differential available across multiple generations |
| Ford F-250 / F-350 Super Duty |
Super Duty platform (P2/P3 heavy-duty) |
6.0L, 6.4L, and 6.7L Power Stroke diesel variants use different engine and drivetrain configurations — always confirm engine variant and axle ratio before ordering |
| Ford Explorer |
CD3/CD4 platform — Lincoln MKT, Ford Flex, Taurus |
BorgWarner transfer case, 8.8-inch rear differential, front differential carrier, and subframes available across multiple Explorer generations. Always confirm 2WD vs. AWD vs. 4WD |
| Ford Expedition |
P2 platform — Lincoln Navigator (cross-references throughout) |
BorgWarner transfer case cross-references with F-150 of the same year — vastly more available than Expedition-only sourcing |
| Ford Escape |
CD3 platform — Mercury Mariner / Mazda Tribute (identical vehicles) |
All three are mechanically identical — front subframes, AWD PTU, and front differential cross-reference directly. AWD PTU is a known service item; always replace the vent tube at installation |
| Ford Edge |
CD3 platform — Lincoln MKX, Mazda CX-9 (1st gen) |
Transfer case and AWD PTU cross-reference with Lincoln MKX of the same year. AWD PTU is the most commonly replaced AWD component on this platform |
| Ford Fusion |
CD3/CD4 platform — Lincoln MKZ, Mercury Milan (identical mechanicals) |
Front subframes, ABS pump, EPS rack, and AWD transfer case cross-reference across all three nameplates. Hybrid variant uses different engine crossmember — confirm hybrid vs. standard |
| Ford Mustang |
SN95 / S197 / S550 platforms (generation-specific) |
No cross-platform references — Mustang platforms are unique. Always confirm generation (SN95/S197/S550) as these share nothing structurally. 4.6L Modular V8 shared with F-150, Expedition, and Lincoln Town Car on body-on-frame applications |
| Ford Ranger |
Ranger-specific platform (P100/T6) |
T6 Ranger (2019+) is an all-new global platform. Earlier Ranger (1998–2011) shares some components with Explorer Sport Trac |
| Ford Taurus |
D3/CD4 platform — Mercury Sable, Ford Five Hundred |
Front subframe and ABS pump cross-reference with Mercury Sable of the same generation. 2010+ Taurus shares D3 platform with Flex, MKT, and Explorer |
| Ford Transit Connect |
C1 platform (global compact commercial) |
EPS power rack cross-references within the Transit Connect family. Confirm wheelbase (SWB vs. LWB) before ordering any structural component |
Ford Engine Families
EcoBoost — 2.0T, 2.3T, 3.5T
Ford's EcoBoost turbocharged engines are shared across Escape (2.0T), Fusion (2.0T), Edge (2.0T), Explorer (2.3T), Mustang (2.3T), F-150 (3.5T), and Lincoln equivalents. Turbochargers, intake manifolds, and engine ancillaries from any of these donor platforms are cross-compatible within the same EcoBoost variant. The 2.0T EcoBoost (2013–2019) is particularly well represented in the used market given the Escape's high US sales volume.
Modular V8 — 4.6L and 5.4L
Ford's Modular V8 family (4.6L and 5.4L) powers F-150, Expedition, Mustang GT (4.6L), Mustang GT500 (5.4L supercharged), Lincoln Town Car, Lincoln Navigator, Crown Victoria, and Police Interceptor. Engine components — timing chains, valve covers, intake manifolds — cross-reference across this entire family within the same displacement and cam profile variant (2-valve, 3-valve, or 4-valve DOHC).
6R80 6-Speed Automatic
Ford's 6R80 6-speed automatic transmission is fitted to F-150, Explorer, and Expedition (2011+). It's one of the most available used Ford transmissions in the market — and at GreenGears Auto, used OEM 6R80 units from documented low-mileage donors are available at 50–65% below new dealer pricing.
Power Stroke Diesel — 6.0L, 6.4L, 6.7L
Ford Super Duty diesel applications require careful engine variant confirmation. The 6.0L (2003–2007), 6.4L (2008–2010), and 6.7L (2011+) Power Stroke are completely different engines with different donor pools, reliability profiles, and parts availability. Always specify your Power Stroke variant when ordering any engine component.
Ford AWD PTU — The Most Commonly Replaced Ford AWD Component
The Power Transfer Unit (PTU) fitted to Ford Escape, Edge, Fusion AWD, and Transit Connect is the most commonly replaced AWD component across Ford's crossover lineup. PTU failure is almost always caused by a blocked vent tube that allows internal pressure buildup and output seal failure. When installing any used OEM PTU, always replace the vent tube and output seal simultaneously — the part costs $15–$30 and skipping it almost guarantees PTU failure within 20,000–40,000 miles regardless of the unit's condition.
⚠️ Ford Escape / Edge PTU — Always Replace the Vent Tube
The single most important installation note on any Ford AWD PTU replacement: the vent tube must be replaced at the same time. A blocked vent tube is the root cause of the vast majority of PTU failures on Escape, Edge, and Fusion AWD. It costs under $20 and takes 5 minutes. Skipping it will cause the replacement PTU to fail for the same reason.
🔧 F-150 Transfer Case Cross-Reference with Expedition
The BorgWarner transfer case in the Ford F-150 and Ford Expedition cross-reference within the same generation — the Expedition uses the same unit as the F-150 from the same year range. If an Expedition transfer case isn't listed, search for the F-150 equivalent — the combined donor pool from both platforms ensures excellent availability and competitive pricing.
