Suzuki's US lineup was built on shared platforms throughout its history. The Forenza and Reno were GM-Daewoo platform vehicles. The XL-7 (second generation, 2007–2009) shared the Theta platform with the Chevrolet Equinox and Pontiac Torrent. The SX4 was a Suzuki-Fiat joint venture, sharing its architecture with the Fiat Sedici. The Grand Vitara and earlier Vitara shared components with the Chevrolet Tracker and Geo Tracker.
