The most important thing Scion owners need to know: every Scion was mechanically a Toyota. The tC used the 2AZ-FE 2.4L engine shared with the Toyota RAV4 and Camry. The xB used the 2AZ-FE on the second generation and the 1NZ-FE on the first generation — the same engines used in the Corolla and Echo. The xD used the 2ZR-FE 1.8L engine shared with the Corolla and Matrix. This means engine components, timing covers, valve covers, intake manifolds, and many structural parts for Scion vehicles are available from the much larger Toyota donor pool.

Scion tC — 2AZ-FE Engine Components

The tC's 2AZ-FE 2.4L engine is one of Toyota's most widely used powerplants — shared with the RAV4 (2001–2005 and 2006–2012), Camry (2002–2011), Solara, and Highlander. Timing covers, valve covers, intake manifolds, and many engine ancillaries are cross-compatible across all these applications. Parts listed under Toyota RAV4 or Camry 2.4L 2AZ-FE fit the Scion tC directly.

Scion xA/xB (1st Gen) — Toyota Echo Platform

The first-generation xA and xB were built on Toyota's NCP platform alongside the Toyota Echo (2000–2005) and early Yaris. Front subframes and suspension crossmembers cross-reference between the Echo, xA, and xB — giving Scion owners access to the Toyota Echo donor pool for structural components.

Scion FR-S — Subaru BRZ Platform

The Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ are mechanically identical — the same platform, the same FA20 boxer engine, and the same drivetrain components. The rear axle differential carrier (4.10 ratio, automatic transmission) in our inventory fits both the FR-S and BRZ.
